Phase One: Complete! The Heart & Stone Cases are pretty much ready to roll. (though they will always be a work in progress!)

Now is the time for daydreaming…Imagining what we can offer in all the lovely retail floor and wall space in our new store. I want this to be a collection of “cool gifts”….

For now we are limited to taking items on a consignment basis but hope by the holidays we will be able purchase inventory.  There are just too many cool things out there that I would love to carry…

If you are artist interested in consigning your wares or know someone who might be  please check out the “Calling All Artisans” Post here on our blog.

We are happy to showcase other jewelry artisans! We only have room for a few so we are looking for jewelry that jives with our feel yet is very different from what we do…Here are a few of the artists I would love to carry….

I met artist Amy Casher at a recent Sowa Open Market and immediately fell in love with her funky style…

I’ve been a long time fan of Tami Rodrig’s resin and silver jewelry. I’m hoping I can convince her showcase her work here!

I would love to carry hair accessories! For little girls & big girls:) We already have the amazing Bloomies Buffs. Bloomie’s Buffs are handmade no slip headbands in beautiful fabrics! We are still on the lookout for other great hair accessories.

Handmade custom no slip headbands in beautiful fabrics!

And gifts for guys…

I love the Man Candle!  We met Hart and his family when we were out in LA at an Emmy Gifting Event. I can’t remember the exact details but he started this company at around 12 years old! He bought soup cans and donated the them to a local soup kitchen. The soup kitchen gave them back the empty cans which they fill with Man Scented Candles! Scents such as fresh cut grass, sawdust, new mitt smell & bacon!

Why we love this product: It makes a great gift for any guy. You are helping to feed those in need. And you’ll be supporting an awesome small company built by Hart and his family. mancans2

I love things that are functional and help with the everyday chaos of life. The All Out of Pad by Knock Knock is incredibly useful!

Why we love this product: Many of us use digital lists nowadays on our smart phones to create our shopping lists.  But, since the rest of the family probably doesn’t have access to your smart phone when they think of something they want or notice you are out of something this creates one place that everyone in your family can quickly check off what you are in need of…There is a large strong magnet on the back of each pad so it stays firmly on the fridge. When it’s time to shop just pull off the top copy! It makes a perfect hostess gift.

Cool Books! My friend Annette Cate wrote and illustrated this amazing and very funny book about birds. It masquerades as a children book but it is really for all ages.

The Walls! We are really excited to showcase some amazing artists on our walls. Our 1st artist will be Steven Royster. American born artist Steven Royster grew up in South India, Egypt and East Africa. His connection with indigenous people, the natural world and ancient cultures is visible in the profound depth and temporal beauty of his contemporary oil paintings.

Since completing his MFA at Indiana University in 1988, Steven’s works have been exhibited in 40 prominent galleries throughout the US, New Zealand and Australia, where he settled with his wife and three daughters.

Steven’s art is at once peaceful and stimulating, beautiful and powerful, transcendent and timeless.
