Big Changes. We are Moving.

June 28, 2017

It's with very mixed emotions that I write this post. After 4 years in our own space in Northboro Heart & Stone will be downsizing and moving. I love the beautiful space we created, a place in which creativity could live and grow.

We made many very personal and customized jewelry pieces for so many people. It was truly an honor.

We introduced hundreds of people to the amazing new medium, metal clay through our classes, parties and ladies night's out. I know many were inspired to continue their creative journey and that makes make my heart happy.

Our thumbprint charm & keychain collection was also born here and took on a life of its own as our customers consistently came to us with new ideas and ways to gifts these beautiful keepsakes. We quickly realized these were not just for little thumbs, but thumbs of all ages.

As much as I loved the special space I created it was taking too much time away from my family and required working every Saturday and crazy hours around the holidays. I long for a simpler life. I look forward to spending more time with my children and being there for them during their very important teen years.

We will remain open through most of the month on July and then I will be moving Heart & Stone into my home in Shrewsbury and will continue to work from there. I plan continue the making personalized jewelry, teaching metal clay and offering thumbprint charms after a brief hiatus for the month of August. (I really need a break!)

So, that said this is not the end of Heart and Stone but a new beginning. I'm not sure how this new Heart and Stone will look exactly but will be sure to let you know as soon as I do and hope you will continue to shop with us via our website or by appointment in Shrewsbury. I will still be teaching and offering parties either in your home, my home or other local venues.

What's in our immediate future? We plan to make the very best of the time we have left and go out with a bang! If you've been meaning to take a class, book a party, make a thumbprint keepsake or work with us to create a custom piece now is the time!

On July 15th we will have our last full day Metal Clay 101 class with Alexis Crowley in our current location. This will be followed by a 3 day intensive Art Clay certification class on July 28,29,30. There are 2 spots left in the certification class. Please get in touch asap if you're interested in taking it.

A huge thanks to you, our customers and friends who helped make our years at 269 West Main Street amazing!

Please be the first to take advantage of our MOVING SALE!

In addition, for all our jewelry making students we are pulling out all the loose gemstone beads we've collected over the years and other sterling components and will be selling those at very deep discounts.

Sales starts now and runs through the 3rd week of July.

Thumbprint Jewelry - The Ultimate Keepsake - Part 2

January 05, 2019

Thumbprints took center stage this holiday season and together we made some beautiful pieces, came up with new designs, thought of more ways to gift these and made at least a few Mom's cry .
I did not get a chance, in the craziness, to take photos of everything but did manage to get photos of most new designs and here are some of the favorites. To read about how the prints are made and how we got started check out the post Thumbprint Jewelry - The Ultimate Keepsake - Part 1

Design Your Own Silver Pendant? But how?

February 15, 2017

Yes, it true. You can design your own silver pendant at Heart & Stone using a relatively new raw material called Silver Metal Clay. You can read how it all works in a previous blog post I wrote called Creativity is Contagious but the short version is this: They took powered metal and added a binder & water. The metal now has a consistency of clay. Let your imagination run wild for a minute about what you can do with clay that you could not do with a piece of hard metal....
