Q: How long will my order take?
A: : Each piece is made by hand and generally takes 2-3 weeks but may take longer. I ship via USPS insured priority mail to anywhere in the US at a flat rate of $7.50 per order. Prior to major holidays such as Mother's Day production times are much quicker but it is still recommended that you order as early as possible.
Q: Can you do rush orders?
A: Sometimes I can, sometimes I can’t. It depends on what you want, whether I have the components in stock and how soon you need it. I will try to accommodate rush orders but in the event that I can’t get it there in time I can send a gift card that lets the recipient know that a the gift has been ordered for them and will be arriving shortly. If you need an order in a hurry please call 508.845.1004 or e-mail and I will let you know if I think it's possible. There may be extra charges for rush shipping.

Q: Are gift certificate or gift cards available?
A: Yes, gift certificates are available in any amount. I also have a “gift card” for orders that can not arrive in time for a specific date. This card can be sent to either the gift giver or directly to the recipient. It let’s them know that a custom gift has been ordered for them and will be arriving shortly. Place your order and then use order comments, e-mail or call to receive your gift card. Please let me know how you would like the "from" field to read.
Q: Do you have any tips for creating a great charm necklace?
A: Yes. First, do not hesitate to pick up the phone and call. Another option is to use the Wishlist feature. You can then e-mail your wishlist to me and let me know that you'd like feedback. Getting a great charm necklace is a cross between your personal taste, the content (names or initials, birth dates, birthstones, anniversaries, meaningful symbols, etc) and the balance of the charms - what I call "hang". It is hard to give specific advice without finding out a little bit more about your content and taste. Some combinations of shapes and sizes work better than others. The gallery is full of examples of my favorite combinations. Take a look and then shoot me an e-mail or give me a ring (508.845.1004). I will take a look and get back to you with any suggestions. For phone calls just keep in mind I am on the East Coast.
Q: Can you make charms in Gold?
A: Yes. Anything you see in silver can also be made in 14K or 18K yellow, white or rose gold. To give you a ballpark the larger charms (organic name & initial charms) will be in the $375-$450 range while the smaller (symbol & mini tags) will be in the $175-$250 range for 14K gold. Please e-mail your wishlist and I can give you an estimate.
Q: How do I care for my jewelry?
A: It is best to remove your jewelry before showering or swimming. When you are not wearing your piece keep it the clear anti-tarnish bag it arrives in. Although fine silver doesn’t tarnish quickly sterling silver chains and ear wires will.
Most pieces have a patina which creates the black areas on your piece. To clean your piece only use dry polishing cloths meant for silver. One cloth will be included with your order. If you use a dip or creme polish the patina will be removed.
Q: What are your charms made from? How does it differ from Sterling Silver?
A: I use Fine silver or .999FS which is pure silver. The type I use is made from recycled sources. Sterling silver or .925 silver is typically mixed with copper and other metals. Both have advantages. Sterling Silver is harder than Fine Silver. Fine Silver tarnishes very slowly and then only slightly. Using Fine Silver for my pieces gives me much more creative flexibility and allows me to make each piece truly an original. Every piece is “work-hardened” for maximum strength.
Q: Do you further customize pieces? I’d like a variation that I don’t see on your site.
A: I love doing custom work. For the website I needed to create “product lines” so that items could easily be ordered. If you want something you don't see here just call or e-mail and I will be happy to work with you one-on-one to create your piece.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: Each piece is custom made and therefore non-refundable. I do however want you to be completely happy with your piece. If you have any problems please call me and we will work together until you are satisfied.
Q: What is your repair policy?
A: Other than your chain there are not many breakable parts on your necklace. If any part of your necklace, with the exception of the chain, should break within 90 days of receiving it please send it back and I will repair or replace it free of charge. After that a nominal fee plus return shipping may be the charged.
Q: What is your repair policy for chains?
A: I take great care in making your chain. Each one is cut to your specified length, the ends are fulled soldered for maximum strength and then finished to best match your chosen charms. If your chain should break within the 1st 30 days just send it back and I will repair it free of charge. After the 1st 30 days I charge $20 plus 7.50 shipping to repair and refinish your chain.
Q: Can you ship internationally?
A: Yes. I use USPS for shipping. $7.50 for US orders. $25 for Canada and Mexico and $30 to any other country. These prices include insurance.
Q: What makes your Organic Charms “Organic”?
A: I get this question quite a bit. I mean “organic” in the fine arts sense of the word; shapes with a natural look and a flowing and curving appearance. I use the geometric shapes - rectangle, circle, and oval- as the basis for my charms but since they are handmade the outcome tends to be organic in nature.
Q: Are you available for in-home or in-store Trunk Shows?
A: Yes. I love doing private showings. It allows me to work directly with clients to create really interesting pieces. I also get great suggestions and ideas that I can take back to my studio. I bring samples of charms, stones and chains so you and your guests can simulate building your own necklaces by trying different combinations of shapes, sizes, colors and lengths. As a host of Trunk Show you are eligible for some nice perks! E-mail if you are interested in finding out more. Currently we are only available for trunk shows in MA, NH, RI and parts of CT.
